Carthay's School Garden Group Meeting (Los Angeles Food Policy Council)

In partnership with the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, we held a garden working group meeting with educators, master gardeners, and community leaders at Carthay Elementary School to discuss and exchange ideas on how to get parents and the community more involved with school gardens. I honestly think that every community meetings should be held at a garden - whether it is at a school garden or a community garden - seriously. My moods always get so brightened up when I am around plants - and people just seem to be nicer and happier. FYI - Carthay's school garden is opened to the community on the weekend!
