I consider myself to be a perfect walking example of "follow your dream but also give life some room to guide you to where you should be". My passion for health and nutrition has inspired me to get a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics and I also successfully completed the Didactic Program in Dietetics accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The more in depth I got into my nutrition studies, the more I realized how much I still didn't know. This curiosity has led me to enter a dual Master Program in Biotechnology and Business Administrations. To make a long story short, I ended up not pursuing the biotech part of the program and just graduated with the MBA portion. This change of heart came about as I was becoming more involved with the community and was offering free nutrition counseling to homeless women at the Downtown Women's Center (DWC). It became more obvious to me that many of today's chronic health issues have to be approached from a holistic point of view. I am the type of person who like to get to the heart of the problem and not just scratch the surface of things. So I decided to learn more about the healing arts and worked as a naturopathic doctor assistant. My experience working at the integrative medicine clinics have inspired me to pursue my study in oriental medicine and acupuncture. So that is where I am currently at in my professional journey - integrating both western studies of nutrition and naturopathic medicine with eastern philosophy and healing modules.
